I caught Nancy Pelosi’s interview on the Daily Show last night. As a conservative, all I can say is put her on more shows! If I were a Democrat, I’d be pulling my hair out.

It started with Stewart asking Pelosi why John Stewart gave the response to the President’s speech yesterday, because Kerry’s “not good” at that. Pelosi responded by saying that Kerry gave the Democratic Senate response, and that House Democrats voted against the war to begin with. Not a single “well, Senator Kerry’s earned that right by taking on President Bush, blah blah blah”.

A couple minutes later Stewart asked if we can ever get past the “we went into this war on a lie” mentality, and Pelosi said something in the vein of the President going into Iraq because he wanted a war. Stewart asked if the President just threw a dart on a map, and Pelosi responded with something about the “neocons” forcing the president to go into Iraq.

You got the sense in watching this that Stewart really wanted Pelosi to do well, and got a little frustrated and annoyed at her ineptitude. I say let her give more of these interviews any time she wants.
